Gili Mimpang Bali
Gili Mimpang, which is also known as Batu Tiga, is a truly mesmerizing Bali dive site. Situated in the breathtaking Amuk Bay between Candidasa and Padang Bai, it consists of not only three large rocks, but also half a dozen smaller ones. It’s a 15-minute boat ride from our superb diving resort in Padangbai. The diversity of the topography at Gili Mimpang is simply awe-inspiring, featuring a plethora of craggy rocks covered in both hard and soft corals, as well as majestic gorgonians. It’s important to note that the currents here can be strong and tricky, largely dependent on the phase of the moon. Therefore, this dive is recommended for the more experienced divers who are up for a challenge. Diving in this magical location is like receiving a gift from the underwater world – it’s an experience that divers will certainly cherish for a lifetime.
In addition to the typical variety of coral fish you can enjoy a lot of blue spotted rays, napoleon wrasse, trumpet fish, squid, cuttlefish, blue-yellow ribbon eels, trigger fish, butterfly fish, moray eels, trevalies, jackfish, tunas and you have a big chance of seeing white tip reef sharks shoals of snappers, mackerels, sometimes manta rays and from May to November the sunfish or Mola Mola shows up regularly.
